Escape from the dark - into the light Day after day, night after night I came from the shadows To survive Wild faces but unmasked faces With all our innocence But now someone has a crown With all their ignorance The rise of mankind Leave the past behind So fast I am growing up From the caves to the stars A blend of greed and arrogance Beneath the scars A very brand new world To explore, to understand The more we think and learn The less we comprehend The rise of mankind? Leave the past behind Shadows turn to light Reasons on my mind Now I’m Ready To Think And Fight For The rise of mankind? Leave the past behind Greed, hate and lies Leave it all behind Shadows turn to light Reasons on my mind

So here we are Standing at the close Together yet we feel alone So different now This Earth that we abused From ancient times to modern touch Enlighten me Darkened shadows fill my mind This train of thought made us all blind The woods are bleeding The skies are falling down But we don’t seem to care Chorus 1: We’re not free We’re just lines An endless coded simulation Love or hate The life we waste Entreating adoration We need to wake up to what’s around us We need to fight to right the wrongs Chaos infects us and remains unchecked And we are still arguing racial affairs Left or right Dark or light Wrong or right Black or white True or fake Love or hate Remember: together we stand… Chorus 2 We’re not free We’re just lines An endless coded simulation Love and fear Hate and greed I’m begging your attention Left or right Dark or light Wrong or right Black or white True or fake Love or hate Final Chorus: We’re not free We’re just lines An endless coded simulation Love or hate? The life we waste Entreating adoration We’re not free We’re just lines An endless coded simulation Love and fear Hate and greed I’m begging your attention

Something’s not right here We’re led by machines A glance into a distant mirror Shows our dying dreams We will not sit and stare Waiting for the fall Bleeding under whips of steel Bound to turn to rust Can we rise a newborn race As we used to be? Free your mind and your soul From the lies you heed Marching for liberation of our kind Trying to rescue our roots once left behind Soaring through the fumes of soiled atmosphere Neon lights bring death and fear Systems crash We lie broken, crushed, and bare Will we ever live? We depend on the machine Look in the mirror Take hold of your own past A heart of steel is empty You are human, you must feel “For dust you are And to dust you shall return” Once we valued heart and soul Now we’re dead inside, we’re cold Silence fills the air Muffling despair Madness everywhere We don’t seem to care We raised misfortune with our own hands Now we crumble like castles in the sand Fighting ignorance we waltz with our death (We are pets Of big techs We’re in a net of chaos and untruth) Dancing the same old song again (On and on The same old song We sing along A memory of peace) Are we falling in disgrace As we used to fear? Free your mind and your soul From the lies you heed Can we rise a newborn race As we used to be? Free your mind and your soul From the lies you heed

about

Trilogy of Mankind tells a story that starts from the beginnings of humanity to a dystopian future, reflecting on technological advancement and it’s consequences, in addition to addressing very current topics such as mental health and social issues. There’s an idea of infinite loop between progress and regression. But there is no linear narrative, but rather reflective verses that will give us clues as to where we are at that particular moment in the song.
